Have you heard the news?? For the month of March, I’m hosting a reading challenge centered around reading books by women! I’m so excited to get started and see what everyone else is reading and posting. If you want to join in, all the info is in this post!
Over the course of the month, there are a number of challenges to complete…
I know I won’t be able to get every spot on this board, but I’m trying to get as many as possible! I’m starting out with eight books that I definitely want to get to, which will cover quite a few of the challenges. If I finish those, I have even more that I’d love to read as well!
Here are the books I want to make a top priority and the challenges that they fulfill:
The Boneless Mercies by April Genevieve Tucholke
- book with a girl squad
Ten Women by Marcela Serrano, translated by Beth Fowler
- translated book
- multiple female POVs
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim
- sci-fi/fantasy
- WOC MC
- woman on the cover
Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson
- body positive
Bygone Badass Broads by Mackenzi Lee
- biography or memoir
Dreadnought by April Daniels
- trans MC
I Love This Part by Tillie Walden
- graphic novel
- queer MC
Palace of Stone by Shannon Hale
- middle grade
Here are the books that I’d also like to read if I have time!
- The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
- Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman
- Circe by Madeline Miller
- The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
- Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
- Brightly Burning by Alexa Donne
- Lair of Dreams and Before the Devil Breaks You by Libba Bray

I’m so excited for March too! 😀 I can’t wait to read all of these books! Code Name Verity is one of the books that’s been on my tbr the longest, and I’m a little ashamed that I still haven’t read it yet. But hopefully I’ll finally read it this month and discover how amazing it is! ❤

I’m excited to do this! Lately I’ve been in a bit of a slump because of school and stress, but hopefully March will be a lot better for my reading schedule! I’m looking forward to reading Starfish and a few of the other ones you mentioned 🙂

Argh, slumps are the worst. I hope March manages to get you out of it! I’ve heard really good things about Starfish, so fingers crossed that I manage to get to it next month!

I’m really looking forward to this challenge! 😊 I also have The Boneless Mercies and Starfish on my TBR and I’m so excited to read them! Undead Girl Gang was one of my favorites last year, it’s so fun and the main characters’s amazing. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do ❤️
